Ideas and Mission

The idea of creating a comprehensive guide of airfields and nearby tourist attractions and heritage sites was born as a result of our interactions with recreational pilots and professionals from the tourism sector. We were told that general aviation activities such as air tours, flight experiences and sky diving are currently not being offered to tourists visiting Bulgaria.

In order for a tourist to visit a destination located outside of their immediate vicinity, he or she would need to have access to a database containing information about the available places of interest, giving him or her the ability to browse, as well as book accommodation or other leisure activities such as dining for example.

It is our project’s aim to collate a detailed, informative and practical database to promote Bulgarian tourism attractions. We plan to do so by offering transport to places of interest via general aviation light aircrafts and other means of transport.

The existence of such a database would significantly enrich Bulgaria’s tourism services portfolio and would act as an economic boost to the general aviation community. We are also keen and hopeful to help increase the number of general aviation enthusiasts in Bulgaria, while being useful to individuals and businesses who either use tourism services or work in the hospitality sector. As we are fully committed to popularizing general aviation, we will also be collating and publishing information on flight training for all airfields (where available).
